The late Huntsville native, Joe Poore started the King Mobile Home Supply in 1975 on Sparkman Drive where the current Walmart stands. In 1980, Gracie King, Joe Poore's daughter, and her husband Larry King purchased the company to continue the legacy.

At that time the supply store moved to its current location to North Parkway at Mastin Lake. The store underwent remodeling in the early 1990’s to the style and appearance you see today.
